Looking for a completely online CPR certification?? There is no such (legitimate) thing! Please don’t be fooled by claims that they will be accepted by your employer or school – they won’t! They aren’t accepted because they don’t require any hands-on practice/testing that is imperative to mastering your skills and competency!

The major hospitals and schools in Central Florida will ONLY accept certifications completed through the American Heart Association. The only acceptable option for doing online courses is through the American Heart Association HeartCode courses. With this option, you will complete online modules, watch the videos, and complete the written portion of testing at home, on-line. However, to receive your certification, you are required to meet with an instructor afterwards to complete hands-on skills testing. To complete this option, you will sign up for the “Skills ONLY” course on our schedule page.

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

The Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Course is designed to teach providers the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage the first 10 minutes of an adult VF/VT arrest. Because the ACLS course covers extensive material in a short time, you do need to prepare for the course beforehand. The ACLS course does not teach ECG rhythm recognition or pharmacology. ACLS is an advanced, instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, airway management, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. This course is intended for students working or planning to work in an acute care adult environment. Options for obtaining an AHA ACLS Certification are below:

**Note: A current AHA BLS card and completion of the online pre-test is required to take this course. Instructions for completing the pre-test will be emailed immediately following registration**

1) For first time students or students with an expired card, you should register for the “ACLS Provider Course ($180)” course on our scheduling page.
